Simply put: The big-box store has an impressive plethora of products to choose from, and if you've taken a trip to one recently, you probably noticed that it's slowly but surely becoming a beauty mecca, too.
Target's natural hair-care selection has grown significantly over the years, and it has added well-known brands from as far as Paris and as close as Brooklyn. But, these products might have flown under the radar if you weren't on the lookout for them. Ahead, we've rounded up the best beauty buys from Tarjay — so pick up one of those big, red carts and shop away to your heart's delight.

The ubiquitous red-logoed store is launching its very first nail polish collection on Jan. 17, 2016. It goes by the name of Defy & Inspire and includes 38 cheekily titled, reality TV-themed shades like Real Housewife, Toddlers & Tiaras, and Rich Kids.
Defy & Inspire Nail Lacquer in Rich Kids, $7.49, available Jan. 17 at Target.

Another new launch coming to Target shortly is cult French skin-care brand Embryolisse — and it's bringing its most popular products to your local shelves and browsers. The most anticipated one? This multitasking moisturizer that primes, hydrates, and helps to remove all traces of makeup.
Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentrè, $28, available Jan. 18 at Target.

This cream from Brooklyn-based brand S.W. Basics includes three (and, only three) of the most moisturizing ingredients out there: shea butter, coconut oil, and olive oil. It's guaranteed to nourish and deeply absorb into even the thirstiest of skin. And, judging from the cruel winter most of the U.S. is bound to have, we could all benefit from a jar — or two.

With the surprising number of big-name, natural hair products Target carries — SheaMoisture, Carol's Daughter, and Miss Jessie's, to name a few — Curls is one you might not gravitate to right away. But, you should. The brand is not only effective in warding off frizz, but seriously budget-friendly. You can use its Crème Brule for coil definition, along with adding much-needed moisture for the textured-haired girls out there.

Lydia Mondavi's 29 was inspired by the beauty of California's Napa Valley, and consequently our favorite drink to indulge in — wine. Its Secret of the Vine Serum Extract helps fight signs of aging and enrich the skin with antioxidant grape seed, and olive and algae extracts.

We've waxed poetic about Laneige's BB Cushion on many occasions. But, let us drill it into your heads once more: It’s damn good. It doesn’t come in the widest range of shades (just light, medium, and dark), but the coverage is ideal for those looking for a lighter, more natural look.
Don’t stop at the BB cushions, though. Target also carries a good number of skin-care products from the sister brand of the oh-so-popular AmorePacific. And, it's one of the few brick-and-mortar spots where you can find these Korean goodies, so may we suggest stocking up in bulk during your next trip?

A cult classic among beauty lovers and insiders alike, this popular French product has all the hype surrounding it for a reason. Its acne-fighting formula helps ward off blemishes, reduce scars, and make pores appear smaller.

This two-in-one shampoo and body wash contains carcinogenic-free ingredients that you can safely use on your head and body.

This lightweight, fast-absorbing plumping cream is another Asian beauty import worth investing in. The high concentration of hyaluronic acid helps penetrate the skin while providing it with bounce and youthfulness.

This pure argan oil is a multi-use product (for hair, face, body, or all of the above) that's high on our must-haves list. It's rich in vitamin E, proteins, and essential fatty acids, and hydrates without clogging pores.

This London-based brand is not only extremely popular across the pond and in the States, but all of its products have skin-care benefits, which we can completely get down with. This concealer is great for those on-the-go ladies who need an instantly rested look — a fake good night's sleep, if you will.

Hopping on the wave of new cleansing conditioners on the market, this new-to-Target product is a shampoo-conditioner hybrid. The coconut oil and shea butter help repair damage, restore strength, and remove dirt.

Crow's feet, wrinkles, and fine lines don't stand a chance against this hydrating eye cream. It helps lift, firm, and brighten the skin around the eyes.

Beauty junkies adore this luxe French balm. The honey, plant oil, and grapefruit essence make it one of the biggest saviors of chapped lips out there.

Great for all hair types, this shampoo — rich in vitamins E and K, and coconut oil — leaves hair moisturized and aids in detangling. The best part: It contains no sulfates or parabens, and is cruelty-free. Natural products FTW.

The 62-year-old Dessange Paris is another French cult brand to put on your radar (Brigitte Bardot was even a regular client of founder Jacques Dessange!) Its color-correcting creme, exclusive to Target, is a dream for all of the color-treated blondes out there. Formulated with linseed oil and blue pigments, it helps nourish and protect hair color.
